We Are Professional Drain Cleaners

Drain-Away Sewer and Drain service started in 1991 by Rich and Pat Blanchard. They already had more than 15 years of experience in drain cleaning and customer service. This collective knowledge and experience allows Drain-Away to diagnose problems and seek solutions even when other companies struggle.  

Drain-Away does both residential and commercial work.

A short bio from Rich: 

In 1973 I helped out a friend operate a national drain-cleaning business in the greater Albany area. As the years progressed, I learned how much I enjoyed the challenge of diagnosing and solving customer's drain problems. I became a service technician in 1974, then opened a franchise in Berkshire County, MA in 1979. In 1982 I moved to Rensselaer County, NY to operate a 2nd franchise in Troy and surrounding areas. In 1989 I took over a national division in Nashville, TN. In time I realized how much I missed and loved the Northeast, so I decided to move back to NY in 1991 and Drain-Away Sewer & Drain Services was opened. Through dedication and hard work, the business has grown to service residential & commercial customers. Drain-Away's highest priority is fast and quality service thanks to our expert technicians and courteous office staff. 

Drain-Away specializes in sewer and drain cleaning for both residential and commercial customers. We do plumbing repairs, camera video inspection, water jetting, excavating, servicing internal commercial grease tanks and sewer line repairs.
